HIAA Administrative Offices Renovation

Grey Cardinal provided complete Project Management services to renovate the HIAA Administrative Offices at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. The 13,000 square foot office renovation provided a modern office space, better aligned with the needs of it’s users. The existing carpet tile was salvaged during demolition, with 50% of the re-used carpet mixed with new carpet in an alternating pattern giving the space a refreshed look, while reducing waste. The HVAC system was replaced with variable air volume (VAV) boxes, and associated ductwork and diffusers installed giving each individual office and meeting room full control over heating and cooling to their space. The electrical and data wiring was replaced to meet the needs of a modern work environment, and LED fixtures were installed to reduce energy consumption and maintenance. The project was carefully coordinated into 2 construction phases to minimize the distraction and inconvenience to HIAA staff.
