Project Description
The Sobeys Inspiration Hub project at Saint Mary’s University involved a combination of renovation and new construction to create a collaborative, innovation-focused learning environment. The development included a 42,700 sq. ft. new building linked to the east side of the Sobey Building and wrapping around the south side of the Loyola Academic Building. The Loyola Academic Building also received a 7,500 sq. ft. addition to its east side and an 8,700 sq. ft. interior renovation connecting the new spaces.
Designed to LEED® standards, the new facilities emphasize sustainability, energy efficiency, and high-performance design. The Hub provides interdisciplinary spaces where students, faculty, and the business community collaborate to foster discovery, innovation, and commercialization.
As Project Manager, our responsibilities included project budget preparation, coordination among the client, design team, and construction partners, and oversight of schedule, resources, and communication to ensure seamless integration of new and existing spaces.
