Project Description:
This project involved the renovation and expansion of the existing Clare Health Centre in Clare, Nova Scotia. All construction activities were carried out within a fully operational healthcare facility, requiring detailed coordination and phased implementation to ensure uninterrupted patient care and clinical services.
Infection prevention and control measures were implemented in accordance with CSA Z317.13 – Infection Control During Construction, Renovation, and Maintenance of Health Care Facilities, ensuring patient and staff safety throughout all phases of work. The completed expansion enhanced clinical functionality, improved patient flow, and strengthened the Centre’s capacity to serve the surrounding community.
As Project Manager, responsibilities included liaison with multiple government departments, oversight of the construction stage, preparation of monthly reports and budget updates, organization of stakeholder meetings, and continuous schedule and budget tracking. Comprehensive communication management ensured transparency and alignment among all project stakeholders.
