Project Description
This project involved the development of a new state-of-the-art dressing room facility for the Halifax Mooseheads Hockey Club within an expanded space at the Scotiabank Centre. The renovation was designed to enhance player experience, operational efficiency, and team performance through modernized amenities and integrated technology.
The scope included Costing Services and Project Budget Preparation, ensuring alignment between design vision and financial parameters from the outset. The renovation features a new dressing room, washroom, and street locker area, complete with a separate secure street entrance dedicated to players.
Additional program spaces include a team lounge, kitchen, laundry facilities, and designated storage areas. Dedicated office spaces for medical trainers and the equipment manager were incorporated to support day-to-day team operations. The coaches’ suite consists of a communal office area, small locker room, and washroom.
Integrated audio-visual technology was installed throughout the space, providing seamless control of AV and sound systems while equipping coaches and players with updated presentation and performance tools. A signature feature of the renovation is the “Hype Tunnel”, incorporating coordinated lighting and music to energize and motivate players as they enter the ice surface.
