Sobeys Inspiration Hub 

The Sobeys Inspiration Hub project is a renovation/new construction project at Saint Mary’s University.  The project consists of a 42,700 sf building linked to the east side of the Sobey Building and wrapped into the south side of the Loyola Academic Building.  Additionally, the Loyola Academic Building will have a 7,500 sf addition to the east side and 8,700 sf interior renovation to existing spaces connecting the addition. The scope included Project Budget preparation. 

 

The new building(s) feature interdisciplinary facilities and resources where students, staff and the business community will connect and work together to foster discovery, innovation and commercialization.

Carbon Reduction Project  

Project Management and Project Budget services for the Replacement of existing boilers and circulation pumps and piping with high-efficiency hot water boilers to reduce the carbon footprint of the university's heating systems. Detailed Design was preceded by a study by Efficiency Nova Scotia which outlined the cost and energy consumption benefits of the project and the estimated pay-back period. Demolition of existing systems and re-installation over two (2) summer construction seasons.
